Block Bookings - Yoga for Pregnancy All of my group classes operate on a block-booking only basis. This means that you cannot attend for a single class or pay as you go along if you are dropping in on an irregular basis. How does it work? The concept of block bookings is simple - you pay an amount in order to reserve a space in a particular class for a set number of classes. In Pregnancy classes there are no fixed periods to these blocks (since students leave and join at different times). Each student pays in advance for an 8-week period, except for the final few weeks before you give birth. After that, each week it is entirely up to you whether you attend that class or not. If you miss a week, you cannot carry it forward or have the money refunded, however you are entirely welcome to attend another class that week in its place (please try to check with me first to make sure there is space in that class for you). Block bookings will not be refunded once paid and it is not possible to transfer block bookings (or a portion thereof). How long can I attend the Pregnancy class? You are welcome to join us right up until you give birth, so most first-time mums stay with us right up to 41 weeks. If you feel like stopping the class before that, please give me as much notice as you can as it allows me to contact the next person on the waiting list and let them know when they can start. What happens when there is less than 8 weeks before my due date? And what if I go earlier? Many women, in fact most first-time mums, are pregnant beyond the 40 week stage and continue coming to class until 41 weeks, so please don't pay too much attention to your 'due date'. For your final block I take payment up to the 40 week point. Then, if you give birth before this date, I will refund your money from the point where you contact me to let me know you won't be coming to class any more (including the current week, if you give me enough notice to be able to contact the next person on the waiting list). Do I have to wait for a new block to start before I can join a class? No, the blocks for the Pregnancy class are not fixed. As soon as a spaces in a class you can join right away. You will pay the full block amount before you start your first class, so your payments will be out of sync with the fixed blocks for that class, however we will sort that out when you come to pay for your next block. Can I come along to one class to see if I like it? No, all attendance in class is on a block-bookings only basis. One class won't really give you a good idea of whether you really enjoy what's going on, so I insist that all new students attend for a minimum of one 8-week block. I am an existing student - what happens if I miss the first few weeks of the next block? Please let me know if you are going to do this, - if you don't then I may give your place away to a new student in error. There is no problem if you miss a few classes at any time, but you still pay the full block amount because I cannot arrange for someone to take your place in class for just a few weeks. I really want to come to your classes, but I work a shift pattern (or irregular hours) that means I would frequently miss classes - what can I do? You would be better learning Yoga to help you through pregnancy and childbirth through one-to-one sessions.
