Block Bookings - Yoga for Wellbeing

All of my group classes operate on a block-booking only basis. This means that you cannot attend for a single class or pay as you go along if you are dropping in on an irregular basis.

How does it work?

The concept of block bookings is simple - you pay an amount in order to reserve a space in a particular class for a set number of classes. In the Wellbeing classes these blocks are fixed to a set 10-week period (i.e. from one specific date to another).

Once you have paid for your block, each week it is entirely up to you whether you attend that class or not (though I thoroughly urge you to attend as regularly as you can). If you miss a week, you cannot carry it forward or have the money refunded, however you are entirely welcome to attend another class that week in its place (please try to check with me first to make sure there is space in that class for you).

Do I have to wait for a new block to start before I can join a class?

No, if there are spaces in a class you can join right away.

You will pay the full block amount before you start your first class, so your payments will be out of sync with the fixed blocks for that class, however we will sort that out when you come to pay for your next 10-week block.

Can I come along to one class to see if I like it?

No, all attendance in class is on a block-bookings only basis. One class won't really give you a good idea of whether you really enjoy what's going on, so I insist that all new students attend for a minimum of one full 10-week block.

I am an existing student - what happens if I miss the first few weeks of the next block?

Please let me know if you are going to do this, - if you don't then I may give your place away to a new student in error. There is no problem if you miss a few classes at any time, but you still pay the full block amount because I cannot arrange for someone to take your place in class for just a few weeks.

I really want to come to your classes, but I work a shift pattern (or irregular hours) that means I would frequently miss classes - what can I do?

Many of my students work shifts or have other commitments, and most people only attend about 70-80% of classes in any given block through one reason or another. If this is similar to your situation with your shifts, then the answer is simply to sign up and come along whenever your shifts allow.

Most of my classes are within a reasonable travelling distance of each other, so you can attend one class regularly and then another at those times when your work does not permit your attendance. It obviously requires a little more commitment, but since that is the essence of a Yoga practice you will need that anyway. You can always get in touch with me first to discuss which classes you could attend.

Another option is for you  to develop your Yoga practice through One-to-One Sessions.
