Tantsu
is an
intuitive
form of
bodywork
that is based around the principles of
support and containment.
Using Cradles,
whole body holds
that allow the therapist to support the client, the giver will press and
move the receiver’s body in order to
stretch, release tension, and restore the body to wholeness.
This brings a deep connection between giver and receiver that can free our
sources of our energy while providing
a place of
stillness and peace.
Tantsu is a wonderful way to
explore the body’s needs
and develop
non-sexual intimacy,
and can be used as an offering in
professional healing,
or in your
personal life with friends and intimate partners
alike.
Tantsu Training
Until now you would you have to travel far to get any training in this
approach. However I now have an opportunity to bring the wonderful Ateeka
to Scotland and have her teach us this wonderful approach at StillPoint
Having trained with Ateeka
in April (and having to drive 10 hours to Cornwall just to get there) I
can tell you that once you experience her
wonderfully open
teaching style and
the beauty of Tantsu practice
(both in giving and receiving), you will be
hooked.
This
Basic Tantsu Training
(16 hours over 2 days) on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th
March 2012
at StillPoint Holistic Therapy
Centre, 1B Nelson Street, Kilmarnock KA1 2AA.
These two fun days will introduce the core concepts of Tantsu in a practical way,
and allow you to experience and enjoy the basic cradles of Tantsu as both
giver and receiver.The
cost will be
£150
per person, with a
£50
deposit to secure your place (balance payable 6 weeks before). Places are
limited to 12 participants,
so please be of a mind to commit early or you may end up disappointed.
Who is it for?
Tantsu can be used at both a
professional
and a
personal
level. The training you receive will help you to
develop intimacy
with those special people in your life, so maybe you would like to come
and
do this training with your partner or a friend.
Or it can be used to
enhance
any other
healing approaches
you work with such as massage, and with
further training
this course could lead to a recognised qualification as a professional
Tantsu practitioner.
Want to know more?

with no cost to you.

What to Bring with You
Clothing
- Please wear loose, comfortable clothes, the kind of thing you might wear
to do a yoga class.
Lunch - You may wish to
bring a packed lunch, but there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops
nearby as we are in the town centre.
Equipment
– you will also need a blanket, two yoga mats, a few firm cushions and/or
zafu, a large thai mat/shiatsu mat or futon. If you don’t have a thai/shiatsu
mat or futon then please search online. I can thoroughly recommend Futon
Pacifica, where I bought mine (see pic above - a 3-Layer Double Premium
Futon Mat with mat cover). This mat is awesome, and has been the envy of all
who behold it LOL – contact Gary at
http://www.futonpacifika.co.uk to order.
Miscellaneous- A big smile,
enthusiasm for life and an open heart will also enhance everyone’s weekend
